The week without the kiddies

I just had the most incredible week! I want to send out a heartfelt thank you to all the people who made it happen. I finally had the chance to truly relax and take care of myself. It was a week full of wonderfully little pleasures, like sleeping in, taking rest periods during my workouts, and styling my hair without rushing. I was able to fully indulge in my own routines, like applying body cream and giving myself deep massages. The best part was being able to play my music as loud as I wanted, whenever I wanted! As women, we're always grinding and putting others first, but I've discovered that these little moments of indulgence are essential for our overall wellbeing.

The struggle of potty training!

Potty training can be a challenging experience for both parents and toddlers. As a mother going through this phase with my 2 1/2-year-old, I often find myself questioning if it's too soon or if I'm failing as a parent. However, I have come to realize that there are no failures, only challenges that help us become more creative and versatile. It's essential to prioritize our own sanity, so we can focus on making the potty training process anxiety-free. With each day and each potty triumph, we can smile and be proud of ourselves for getting through it. As mothers, we know that this phase may seem dark and dreary, but we can take it one day at a time and come out on top.

Sharing the burden

Motherhood can be tough, especially when you are alone. Being in Switzerland with two young children and no family or close friends has made this journey heavy for me. It is the shared support of close relationships that makes all the difference. I have come to understand the importance of having people around to share the struggles and joys of having a family. When you are going through a tough time, having someone to lean on can make all the difference. As mothers, we should be grateful for the support and love that our close relationships provide us. Let us not take them for granted as they help carry us along our path in life.
